Services
I can edit and write scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, book chapters, abstracts, posters, training materials, cover letters, responses to reviewers, theses and dissertations, PowerPoint presentations, articles, blog posts and more. I work in the field of life sciences, with extensive expertise in cardiovascular research and cell biology, but I can do standard editing in any field.
All prices include VAT (BTW) and depend on your individual needs. All my services are highly customisable so please contact me for a quote or if you’re not sure which services you need. I offer discounts for multiple services e.g. editing + illustration or editing multiple manuscripts.
Writing
Commission me to write any scientific text that you need! I can write both highly technical and popular sciences pieces. Prices start at €100 per text and depend on the required length and complexity.
Editing
Let me make your text sparkle! I offer 3 different levels of English language editing support:
-
Standard editing – spelling, punctuation, grammar, syntax, and verb tense consistency. Price: €60 per 1000 words, the minimum price is €100. Reference lists are not included in word counts.
-
Scientific editing – all of the above + improving the structure, readability and flow of the text by reorganising paragraphs and significant editing. Includes eliminating jargon, smoothing language, and rewriting sentences. Maximises the clarity and impact of the scientific arguments. Price: €100 per 1000 words, the minimum price is €100. Reference lists are not included in word counts.
-
Developmental editing – I help you write a manuscript from scratch! Price: €3000 per manuscript and includes a free summary figure.
Grant
proposal
services
I can help you draft research grant applications. This includes the scientific content, as well as sections pertaining to societal or technological impact, IP, data management, open science practices, ethics, environmental impacts, diversity, public engagement, dissemination, risk management, and more. Prices start at €600 per proposal and depend on the length and complexity of the proposal.
Illustrations
I can create custom illustrations for your manuscripts, graphical abstracts, grant proposals, presentations, posters etc. Prices start at €80 per illustration and depend on the complexity required. See the Gallery for some examples!

After binding 4 ions of Ca2+, calmodulin undergoes a conformational change that lead to activation of downstream proteins.
Ucma/GRP expression is increased as a negative feedback loop mechanism when extracellular phosphate is elevated. It prevents activation of phosphate-induced BMP-2-SMAD signalling in calcifying VSMCs, acting as an inhibitor of signalling cascades that lead to calcification.
